Inventor Inspiration
“Watching hockey over the years, I have witnessed blades fall off, causing the player to repeatedly fall down since the blade holder is smooth, leaving the player stranded on the ice. My vision is to make a Micro blade and/or a Diamond Cut Blade holder edge to remedy this problem.”
Features
- Features a secondary Micro Blade and /or a Ridged Edge designed to support the Skater on the ice and allow the player to safely get back to the bench for skate blade replacement
- During use, if the blade is knocked off the skate, the modified spiked design of the blade holder would provide the necessary traction on the ice to get the player safely to the bench
- Producible in design variations

FAQ
- Q: Do backup micro blade interfere with aim blade?
- A: No, micro blade is shorter & does not effect main blade performance!
- Q: Does micro work like a spare tire?
- A: Yes, when main blade get knocked off, micro blade allows skater to stand & skate back to bench for new blade.
- Q: If main blade can fall off, why doesn’t micro blade fall off?
- A: Micro blade will be molded into skate blade holder, unlike main blade which can be changed on the fly.
- Q: Does micro blade need to be sharpened like main blade?
- A: No, due to the fact that it only hits the ice when main blade detaches. But it wouldn’t be a bad idea to remove main blade & clean edges to help sharpness.
- Q: Does micro blade help main blade from falling off?
- A: No, but on the instep off the skate, it could possibly take a shot & help prevent puck directly hitting main blade.
